Job summary

US Foods, Inc. in Sacramento is seeking a Night Warehouse Selector to join our distribution team. You will safely select customer orders, build and wrap pallets, and ensure accuracy and productivity during the night shift.

You’ll perform pre-shift checks, operate a motorized pallet jack, and collaborate with teammates to move products to the correct docks while maintaining safety and quality standards in a multi-temperature warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings and safety coaching.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sun–Thu; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high-endurance or highly physical activity is preferred (e.g., lifting, farming, construction).
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate a pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
• Deliver palletized orders to the correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles, return pallet jacks to charging area.

Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy* Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet* Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment* Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free* Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders* Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area **Physical Requirements*** Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required* Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required **What You Bring to the Table*** ***Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed**** Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday.
