Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to move or distribute.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions and distributes items to production workers or the packing/shipping station.
• Assembles customer orders and places them on pallets or shelves.
• Marks materials with identifying information and records amounts received or distributed.
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items between locations and to pickup items for shipment.
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies and prepares parcels for mailing.
• Maintains inventory records and uses computer to enter records.
