Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, South Carolina, is hiring an Ultrasound Tech for a full-time night shift (Mon-Thu, 8pm–6:30am). The role performs general ultrasound procedures and prepares images for radiologist interpretation, maintaining records per regulatory standards.

The candidate should have an Associate degree in Radiography or Sonography, ARDMS registration, and at least one year of experience preferred; BLS is required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiography or Sonography from a CAAHEP approved school of Ultrasound.
• One year of ultrasound experience preferred.
• Registry by ARDMS and BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment, contrast media and materials as needed for procedures.
• Maintains clean and stocked procedure room daily.
• Checks equipment daily and notifies if not functioning properly.
• Prepares patient for procedure and assists during the procedure.
• Sends images to PACS and ensures they are available for interpretation.
• Performs general clerical and transport duties as needed.
• Assists Radiologists during procedures and takes films as requested.
• Rotates to other imaging departments as needed; participates in holiday and on-call rotations.
