American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Stepdown/PCU RN for a night shift in California. The role requires a CA RN license, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS/PALS certifications, and at least 2 years of high-acuity PCU/Stepdown experience. Travel RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include high-acuity nursing in Stepdown/DOU/Telemetry, with 3x12 hour nights and regular floating to ARU when needed. 13-week assignment with potential weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of high-acuity PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Prior travel RN experience required.
• Experience with any EMR/charting system required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to Stepdown/PCU/Telemetry patients (cardiac, neuro, post-surgical).
• Float to ARU/DOU within scope of practice as needed.
• Collaborate with Rapid Response and Code teams.
• Manage patient monitoring, codes, and post-procedure care as required.
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios (1:3 in DOU, 1:5 in ARU).
