Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time Night Shift Transport Coordinator at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. The role coordinates patient transfers, transports, discharges and intra-hospital transfers across Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health to ensure timely, accurate patient movement.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong scheduling and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced acute care environment. Associate’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with scheduling, coordination activities and multitasking.
• Familiar with basic medical nomenclature; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Effective closed loop communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing transfers and transports.
• Oversee discharges and intra-department transfers within Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health.
• Coordinate with clinical departments across Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health.
• Maintain communications with EMS, emergency departments and transfer centers.
• Support performance improvement and daily huddles to improve transport efficiency.
