Responsibilities

• Monitoring patients on cardiac and/or SPO2 via telemetry equipment.
• Monitoring patients during transport to and from procedures/units.
• Interpreting cardiac rhythms/SPO2 and reporting changes to the RN.
• Prioritizing notification to the RN based on emergent patient care needs.
• Identifying and maintaining integrity of the telemetry system and reporting malfunctions and needed adjustments.
• Printing telemetry strips and documenting per unit standards.
• Placing patient on cardiac/SPO2 monitor, changing batteries, and setting up leads.
• Performing clerical and other duties as requested per unit standard.
