Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips.
• Ability to verify time, PR interval, QRS, QT, ectopy, and baseline rhythm.
• Ability to assign telemetry monitoring as ordered by physicians.
• Strong communication with the health care team.
• Knowledge of emergency escalation (Code Blue).

Responsibilities

• Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
• Verifies strips for time, PR interval, QRS, QT, ectopy and baseline rhythm.
• Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician.
• Communicates telemetry-related information to the health care team.
• Checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper function.
• Knowledge of escalation procedures including Code Blue.
• May perform related duties as needed.
