Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America in Virginia is seeking an Overnight Parking Lot Sweeper Supervisor to lead an overnight crew and drive an Air Sweeper Truck up to 50% of the time.

This role requires strong office skills, prior leadership, a valid driver’s license (CDL B preferred), and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. You will ensure safety, complete routes on schedule, and support customers with proactive communication.

Qualifications

• Strong office skills and ability to manage administrative tasks.
• Prior leadership experience is required to supervise overnight operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Driver’s license required; CDL B preferred.
• DOT Physical required – paid by company.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight parking lot team to ensure service success.
• Submit safety alerts or notifications within required time limits.
• Perform field tasks 25–50% of time and operate Air Sweeper Truck as needed.
• Inspect Air Sweeper prior to operation and perform basic mechanical checks.
• Wear required PPE and ensure safety compliance on routes.
• Review scheduled routes and communicate with customers as needed.
• Report equipment failures or incidents promptly; refuel after shifts.

Job Summary

The Overnight Parking Lot Sweeper Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the success of the overnight team and driving an Air Sweeper Truck as needed (25-50% of time or greater if needed), providing prompt service to customers assigned to daily scheduled routes. Must have strong office, leadership, and driving skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure success of overnight parking lot team.
• Submit safety alerts or notification within required time limits.
• Quality assurance and client research
• Physically in field 25-50% of time or greater if needed.
• Operate Air Sweeper Truck to remove debris build-up due to seasonal/weather changes and parking lot waste.
• Perform required inspection of Air Sweeper, prior to operating equipment.
• Preform minor mechanical checks of truck & equipment.
• Wear proper and required PPE.
• Review scheduled routes assigned.
• Be proactive and ask questions if route is unclear.
• Perform the safe operation of an Air Sweeper
• Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted
• Maintain quality of work
• Track completed tasks and/or routes (sweep validation per procedures)
• Exercise extra caution during inclement weather.
• Report any equipment failures, near misses or accidents to Lead or Supervisor immediately.
• Refuel at the end of the shift prior to returning to the shop.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

• Strong office skills
• Prior leadership experience
• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience closely related to the field of work.
• Valid Driver’s license required. CDL B preferred.
• Requires work performed in outdoor environments. Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise, vibrations, jarring, fumes grease oil & chemicals.
• Active, physical work involving occasionally; lifting (50+ lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching; walking, standing, and driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
• Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close & distant vision. Use of ear, eye, and other safety equipment.
• Requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• Physically in field 25-50% of time or greater if needed.
• Ability to communicate and follow-up with customers.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
• DOT Physical Required - paid for by Company.
