Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Night Stocker to support overnight operations, keep shelves stocked, and ensure products are organized and ready for customers each morning. You will unload trucks, rotate stock, and assist teammates to maintain an efficient overnight workflow.
No prior experience is required, and Hy-Vee provides training. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and adherence to company policies.

From unloading trucks and rotating product to tagging shelves and keeping the backroom in order, your work directly shapes the shopping experience our customers count on. You’ll receive direction and support from: Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Perishables, Store Operations, and E-commerce, and Night Stock Manager
High school diploma or equivalent required. Up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 100 pounds or more, with or without mechanical assistance
Continuously stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods
Where applicable to the role: ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar material‑handling equipment (required operator certification must be completed prior to independent use)
Work in cooler or freezer environments for extended periods
Where applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades to cut, trim, or grind product
Where applicable to the role, and in accordance with applicable age and legal requirements: operate a cardboard baler or compactor
Where applicable to the role: perform repetitive motions associated with dough mixing, scaling, and proofing
Ability to unload, lift, stock, and rotate incoming truck freight and merchandise
This is a physically demanding, hands‑on role performed primarily during overnight hours. You may encounter daily exposure to dirt, noise, equipment movement hazards, and cleaning chemicals or solvents, with occasional exposure to temperature extremes and potential electrical shock. The role involves working with and around heavy store equipment. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
