Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring a stock associate to efficiently stock shelves, manage back-room stock, and assist customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will coordinate with management to keep aisles stocked correctly while maintaining a welcoming attitude for shoppers and staying flexible for night shifts. Qualified applicants should be comfortable with basic computer systems, follow procedures, and lift up to 50 lb.

Qualifications

• Experience with computer systems and basic store software.
• Ability to follow procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis.
• Lift up to 50 lb boxes.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of forklift and pallet jack is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock food shelves with a variety of products.
• Pull back stock and trash to the back room to the correct areas.
• Work with management to ensure correct areas are stocked in a timely fashion.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor with customers.
• Work night shifts.
