Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Sleep Technician to prepare patients and equipment for sleep studies, monitor tests overnight, and collect accurate data. You will apply electrodes, calibrate signals, and assist with PAP fitting per standardized protocols.

You will score polysomnographic data, generate reports, and coordinate with scheduling to support pediatric through geriatric patients in a busy lab at Mercyhealth.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a polysomnography program (1+ year) from a state licensed or nationally accredited facility or equivalent experience.
• All technologists not ABSA/BRPT/NBRC must complete A-STEP Online Self Study Modules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare testing equipment and electrodes; calibrate signals per 10/20 system.
• Perform polysomnographic testing and scoring of sleep stages and events.
• Generate accurate reports and maintain documentation.
• Schedule activities and assist with patient flow to ensure department efficiency.
• Follow AASM/Center protocols for HSAT, PAP, oxygen titration, pediatric studies, and safety.
