Job summary

Precision Castparts in Mentor, Ohio is seeking a 3rd shift Shipping Operator to manage and coordinate customer shipments, prepare paperwork, and ensure timely, accurate loading of goods.

This hourly position requires forklift certification, strong computer and documentation skills, and the ability to work weekends and meet deadlines. You will report to the Shipping Manager and uphold safety and quality standards across all shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year in shipping & receiving environment.
• Forklift truck operation certification required (training provided).
• Clerical/computer abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate customer shipments and trucking needs.
• Work with management and quality to determine weekly shipment plans.
• Meet weekly customer commitments for casting sales with Production Control/Sales.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipment errors.
• Follow and enforce all safety rules.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors, customers, contractors, and operations.
• Provide shift-to-shift communication to keep team aligned.
