Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a Night Shift Welder II to perform high‑quality welding on metal components across the manufacturing and assembly process. The role supports safety, quality, and continuous improvement objectives, with a 4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. shift (Mon–Thu) and overtime as needed. You will read blueprints, prepare joints, and document activities in required systems. CNH promotes a safe, diverse, and collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of welding experience or completion of an approved welding training program.
Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and technical drawings.
Must successfully pass an AWS welding certification test administered by the company.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail, quality and safety.
Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, standing, bending, and working in various welding positions.

Responsibilities

Perform welding operations using electric wire feed welding equipment per layouts, blueprints, and procedures.
Weld metal components in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions to required specifications.
Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, degreasing, and grinding weld joints.
Operate other welding equipment as required and perform related fabrication tasks.
Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
Follow all safety and PPE requirements and contribute to CBS+ initiatives.

Job Purpose

The Night Shift Welder II is responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on metal components throughout the manufacturing and assembly process. This role supports production, safety, quality, and continuous improvement objectives by executing welds to specification, maintaining equipment and work areas, and actively contributing to CNH Business System (CBS+) standards. The scheduled work hours are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., with overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Perform welding operations using electric wire feed welding equipment according to layouts, blueprints, work instructions, and welding procedures.

Weld metal components in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions to required specifications for strength and quality.

Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, degreasing, and grinding weld joints or workpieces.

Perform related fabrication tasks such as cutting metal using oxy/acetylene torch and operating additional welding equipment as required.

Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.

Follow all safety, environmental, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Actively support CNH Business System (CBS+) initiatives, including safety, quality, cost reduction, workplace organization (5S), and continuous improvement.

Document defects, improvements, and work activities in required systems.

Participate in training, safety discussions, and improvement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Experience Required

Minimum of three (3) years of welding experience, technical welding training, or successful completion of an approved welding training program.

Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and technical drawings.

Must successfully pass an AWS welding certification test administered by the company.

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.

Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, standing, bending, reaching, and working in various welding positions.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $32.53 - $33.50 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.) For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
