Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Welder for the night shift at our Virginia, MN shop to fabricate, weld, and repair components for large mining equipment. You will read blueprints, follow welding procedures, and ensure quality and safety in every weld.

This position offers hourly wages of 29–37, sign-on incentive, strong 401(k) match, comprehensive benefits, vacation, boot and tool reimbursement, and membership in Local 49.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of uninterrupted FCAW experience.
• Proficiency in multiple welding processes and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of AWS D1.1 code and related standards.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural components for mining equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and welding procedures; determine sequences.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment; adjust parameters.
• Inspect welds and ensure quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators for proper fit-up.
• Maintain records of welding activities and materials.
