Job summary

Atkore in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Sawyer I for the night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. Sat/Sun).

You will support winding operations, prepare samples for QC, conduct final inspections, and help maintain records and labeling for fiberglass conduit in various diameters. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), about two years of shop experience, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' shop experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good understanding of math for counting, calculations, radii and diameters.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
• Able to adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently with PPE and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Respirator and PPE clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist winder operator to maximize winding equipment uptime.
• Receive product, cut ends per specifications, prepare samples for QC.
• Perform final inspection and maintain production/quality records.
• Maintain roving rack and assist with changeovers.
• Inspect pieces with go/no-go gauges and ensure proper labeling and crating.
