Job summary

SpartanNash, a food solutions company with a nationwide reach, is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Norfolk, VA. The role involves unloading products from trucks, breaking down pallets, and preparing shipments in a multi-temperature warehouse environment.

You will use pallet jacks and other equipment, assist with sanitation, and help ensure accuracy and timely completion of orders. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work 8- to 10-hour shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Preferred) or equivalent preferred.
• One year warehouse experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating power industrial equipment such as an electric pallet jack and related gear preferred.
• Able to perform essential functions on 8-10 hour shifts including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Unload products from trucks and break down pallets, stacking on pallets and organizing for warehouse racks.
• Move cases, boxes, bags, and pallets of dry groceries, dairy, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and tobacco as needed per orders.
• Assist with sanitation duties and cleaning of the warehouse; report damages and low stock.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely; perform safety checks and report issues.
• Assist with order picking, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, labeling and ensuring accuracy of orders.
