Job summary

Omya in Florence, VT, is seeking a Warehouse Operator to setup and run the railcar loadout, bulk bagging, and palletizing systems. You will operate forklifts and trackmobiles, and consistently provide samples to our Lab for testing while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining product integrity, performing maintenance with the team, and keeping meticulous shipment records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience operating forklifts and trackmobiles.
Ability to read and follow procedures and safety rules.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills and aptitude for maintenance.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate railcar loadout, bulk bagging, and palletizing systems.
Safely operate forklifts and trackmobiles to move materials.
Provide samples to the lab for quality testing and act on lab data.
Maintain product integrity and prevent contamination during changes and transitions.
Perform shift inspections and collaborate with Maintenance to address issues and minimize downtime.
Keep work areas clean, store items correctly, and document shipments and equipment status.
Support cross-department teams and follow safety and quality procedures.
Be prepared to work overtime and potential weekend shifts.
