Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Idaho or approved Compact State.
• BLS certification required and must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• PICC certification must be obtained within 4 months of hire.
• Ability to work varied shifts.
• Effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient vascular access care per nursing process and hospital policies.
• Assess patients for short, mid and long term vascular access devices and place/maintain appropriate VADs.
• Utilize ultrasound guidance for VAD placement.
• Document per regulatory and hospital requirements.
• Manage health care resources responsibly and maintain clinical competency.
