Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies is seeking a Utility Operator I for a night shift (6pm–6am) to operate, maintain, and repair diverse utility systems at our Holly Springs site. You will monitor mechanical and electrical equipment, manage water systems, boilers, steam, and GMP-aligned facilities, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves responding to alarms, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with process improvements to optimize reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years in Utility Operations or related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to operate equipment and hand tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical sites.
• Willingness to work 24/7 schedule, including nights and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor utility systems (steam, chillers, HVAC, compressed gases).
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze data to identify energy-saving opportunities and cost reductions.
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with safety standards.
• Respond to emergencies such as power outages or alarms.
• Support site building management system (BMS) and Delta V as needed.
• Assist with process improvements under supervision.
