The unit secretary demonstrates strong clerical skills to promote quality patient care and supports safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA guidelines.

The role requires accurate data entry across Patient Links and Carevue systems, handling orders, charts, and communications while adhering to hospital standards and values

Formación

• High school graduate with effective interpersonal communication.
• Able to multi-task in order to perform a variety of complex clerical duties.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Read, write, and speak English.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates charts and medical records for admissions and discharges.
• Answers phones and notifies staff using proper etiquette.
• Enters orders into hospital computer systems and verifies data.
• Transcribes handwritten orders and faxes to pharmacy as needed.
• Maintains filing and stocking of office supplies and medical records.
