Job summary

AdventHealth in Burleson, Texas is seeking a registered nurse for 36 hours per week in a StaffFlex role. Responsibilities include critical thinking, data collection, care plan development, safe intervention implementation, and effective communication with patients and families.

MLS alignment and patient advocacy are key aspects of the role. The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), is fluent in English, and can work a flexible contract within AdventHealth

Qualifications

• Ability to use high-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise care plans.
• Basic computer skills; navigate Windows-based programs.
• Must be fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking appropriate to patient care.
• Collects and documents patient health data timely.
• Develops individualized, evidence-based care plans.
• Implements interventions safely and documents actions.
• Collaborates during patient placement and handoffs.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Educates patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
