Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The position is a 13-week contract with a night schedule from 19:00 to 07:00, totaling 36 hours per week.

You will provide high-quality respiratory care, perform procedures, monitor patients, and educate for discharge, under minimal supervision. Required licensure includes BLS/ACLS, with current RT licensure. This travel role offers exposure to diverse facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using ventilatory equipment, oxygen, aerosol devices, and nebulizers.
• Perform chest physiotherapy to assist secretion clearance.
• Perform suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal) and monitor oximetry and capnography.
• Review patient's chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies.
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
• Provide tracheostomy care, including tube insertion and removal.
• Perform arterial puncture and assess ventilation efficiency.
• Document all treatment information and communicate with physicians.
• Maintain respiratory therapy charging and equipment usage records.
