American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in Springfield, Illinois. This Level I trauma, Magnet hospital requires an active IL RN license and strong clinical skills. 36 hours per week across 3x12 hour nights with every other weekend, and a tax-free stipend.

Start date 01/12/2026 for 13 weeks. The assignment offers travel and licensure reimbursements, with comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience
• BLS certification
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Strong telemetry and rapid response skills
• Night shift experience preferred

Responsabilités

• Work in a medical-surgical unit within a Level I trauma center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts (1845-0715)
• Care for a diverse adult Med/Surg population including trauma and complex medical conditions
• Float to other units within scope as needed
• Utilize Cerner for charting and documentation
• Participate in rapid response and emergency care teams
• Operate in a Magnet-recognized, team-oriented environment
• Adhere to unit scrubs policy and time-off requirements
• Support travel and licensure reimbursement processes
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians for optimal patient outcomes
• Engage in ongoing professional development and patient education
