Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care's Department of Material Services is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Technician II for the 3rd shift (Friday–Tuesday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM). You will oversee medical-surgical supply replenishment, release and pick orders, manage inventory, and support clinicians with timely supplies while using hospital-based electronic systems.

A two-year background in supply management or related work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to meet UI Fleet Safety

Qualifications

Two years of work-related experience in supply management receiving, warehousing, and distribution setting, or an equivalent combination of experience and education totaling two years.
Possession of a driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

Oversees and performs supply replenishment functions: releases orders, picks orders, places supply in appropriate locations, and expedites stock outs.
Provides liaison services between leadership, nurses, and health care professionals to ensure inventory levels are maintained.
Uses hospital-based electronic supply chain management systems and analyzes usage history to support management decisions.
Supervises assigned staff, assigns work, and contributes to training and continuous improvement.
Manages medical-surgical inventory to maintain established par levels and audit processes.
Addresses supply shortages and recommends operational improvements to prevent disruptions.
