Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a night shift position in San Diego, CA. This per diem/PRN role covers weekends with a 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM shift, and includes an 8/40 AWS hours requirement.

You will ensure proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care, maintain charts, labels, and documentation, and uphold infection prevention standards in a fast-paced hospital SPD environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience as a sterile processing technician within the last 12 months; or graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program within the last 12 months.
• Certifications in CSPDT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Maintains shift communication and logs; notifies relevant units of issues.
• Documents sterilizer loads, labeling, and testing results; tracks biological and vacuum testing.
