Job summary

Long View Systems is seeking an Intermediate Security Operations Centre Analyst to join our Denver or Houston branch in an overnight role. You will monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts in real time, acting as a frontline defender for our client’s environment.

The role requires 3+ years in incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics, with SC-200 certification and experience with MS Defender, Sentinel, Splunk, and Sumo Logic.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics.
• SC-200 Certification required.
• Experience with MS Defender and SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in 24x7 operations of the Long View Security Operations Centre.
• Monitor, identify and validate security events generated from SIEM tools.
• Actively work in monitoring, event and incident management tools like Sentinel and ServiceNow.
• Respond to critical business impacting situations and coordinate the efforts required to engage the proper resources to remediate the issue.
• Coordinate major security incident situations and provide internal communications via email in a timely manner.
