Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) in Columbus, OH to protect clients across government and other sectors. You will monitor areas, deter incidents, assist visitors, and document observations using tablets and computer tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Comfort using computer or tablet for documenting observations.
• Customer service experience in security or similar roles.
• Must be at least 18 (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) years old.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally following airport and government location procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
