Job summary

Allied Universal in Thomson, GA is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Screening to protect clients across industries. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate access records while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires at least 1 year of security experience, the ability to work a night schedule Fri–Sun 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Able to work with computers/tablets.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Assist with controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to distribution areas, including directing deliveries and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
