Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Hazlehurst, MS, seeks a sanitation worker to clean and maintain assigned areas in the poultry processing environment. You will use chemicals to clean machinery, sanitize floors and equipment, and help set up in the assigned department before production starts.

Responsibilities include tearing down machinery at shift start, following safety procedures, wearing PPE, and performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors and the sanitation manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.
• Able to work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Basic understanding of machinery tear down and setup.
• Clean up (parts) experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Poultry experience preferred but not required.
• Basic chemical understanding.
• Follow departmental safety policies and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned machinery and areas.
• Tear down machinery at the start of cleanup shift.
• Assist with setup before production begins.
• Follow directions and complete tasks from management and supervisors.
• Work across departments as needed and perform additional duties.
