Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts to deliver direct patient care across respiratory modalities in a fast-paced hospital setting. You’ll collaborate with physicians and nurses to evaluate therapy effectiveness and adjust treatments as needed.

Responsibilities include providing respiratory care per orders, consulting on patient progress, and acting as a resource for the care team. Night hours offer shift differentials and sign-on incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS certification required for ER staff.
• ACLS preferred; critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
