Job summary

Tanner Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the NICU, working nights in a Level III NICU setting. The role involves cardiopulmonary duties, airway and ventilator management, and blood gas analysis, with a strong emphasis on customer service and quality improvement.

Prerequisites include an Associate degree or 2 years of college coursework, 1 year NICU experience, and certification as RRT/Resp Care Professional with ACLS, NRP, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework.
• One year of related experience; working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
• Licenses & Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Professional, ACLS, NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• Must attend S.T.A.B.L.E. baby course within 18 months of employment.
• Must become certified in NRP, PALS and ACLS within 10 months of employment.
• Has at least 1 year Level III NICU experience either with Tanner or at another Level III NICU facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiopulmonary duties per hospital policy/procedure under supervision.
• Administer respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, and blood gases.
• Handle noninvasive cardiology procedures and related tasks.
• Maintain high level of customer service and actively participate in quality improvement.
• Serve as a resource to other employees.
