Job summary

A regional health provider is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for its Lourdes WCH Campus in Lafayette, Louisiana. This temporary position requires you to manage Life Support Systems and participate in the treatment of patients with pulmonary disorders. Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• Ten years of experience as a licensed therapist can substitute for the degree.
• Must be proficient in managing ventilators and oxygen therapy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in diagnosis and management of pulmonary disorders.
• Deliver standardized therapeutic respiratory therapy procedures.
• Perform fiberoptic bronchoscopies and pre/post procedure care.
• Analyze arterial blood samples for abnormalities and recommend interventions.
• Lead as team leader and mentor to staff.
