Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care per physician orders and to consult on therapy effectiveness. You will serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care and perform duties as assigned.

The position is a night shift (7 pm–7 am) with eligibility for shift differential. Required: CoARC-graduated program, NBRC RRT, state RCP license; ACLS preferred; sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current RCP license as per state requirements.
• NBRC RRT credential.
• ACLS is preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
