Job summary

The Allegheny General Hospital 6C Telemetry Unit, part of Allegheny Health Network, seeks an RN for a full-time role. The 6C unit provides care for Medical Telemetry, General Medicine and Internal Medicine patients, including step-down transitions.

The unit operates with a 72-hour schedule every two weeks. Night shifts are 7pm to 7am, with rotating weekends and holidays per policy. Union represented staff. Magnetrecognized hospital with comprehensive care and family education emphasis.

Qualifications

• PA RN licensure or eligible for eNLC
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance
• CPR certification
• Minimum one year RN experience
• 1st preference to employee on current night schedule on unit
• 2nd preference to employee on current unit

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.
