Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Surgical Care Unit. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to care for patients with complex GI surgeries and high-acuity needs, including pain and wound management.

Night shift covers 6:45 pm to 7:15 am on weekends, offering a dynamic, patient-centered environment. Eligible candidates hold an ADN, RN license, and BLS certification, with experience in surgical or acute care settings.

Qualifications

• ADN required; RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification or higher is required.
• Experience in surgical care or high-acuity units is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use nursing process to assess–plan–evaluate patient care.
• Deliver bedside care and monitor patient status.
• Delegate tasks to certified nursing staff appropriately.
• Supervise other patient care staff as needed.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of patients.
• Consult with health-care team to optimize outcomes.
