Job summary

United Medical Healthwest Rehabilitation Hospital in Gretna, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the full-time night shift to deliver compassionate inpatient care within a rehabilitation setting. You will collaborate with physicians, the DON, therapy teams, and support staff; maintain patient safety, administer medications, perform assessments, and participate in discharge planning.

Louisiana RN licensure and BCLS certification are required; rehabilitation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse Licensure.
• BCLS Certification.
• Prior experience in Rehabilitation is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians, DON, therapy, and care team.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and ongoing reassessments per policy.
• Administer medications safely and adhere to the five medication rights.
• Assist with procedures, wound care, and pain management; participate in discharge planning.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain stock and equipment safety.
