Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Unity Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pulmonary Med-Surg unit. The RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on a 36-hour full-time night schedule (7:00 pm to 7:30 am), with every other weekend and holiday.

The unit, 37 beds, focuses on respiratory and general medical care; RN ladder levels apply with compensation add-ons. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• RN license in New York State.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data
• Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately
• Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States
• Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year
• Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
