Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Surgical Unit night shift at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role covers 7:00pm–7:30am with every other weekend, offering comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

You will perform patient assessments, coordinate care plans, communicate with the care team and educate patients and families to support safe, effective outcomes. Illinois RN license and BSN/Assoc. degree plus CPR are required.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois.
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
Communicates clearly with patients and staff in person, on the phone and in writing.
Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through quality improvement initiatives.
Maintains current knowledge of nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
