Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Post Intensive Care Unit-I in New Brunswick, NJ. This part-time night position offers a 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. shift with weekend/holiday rotations, 36 hours per week.

The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, document in EPIC EMR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. An active NJ license and BLS are required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire
• 1-2 years RN experience in acute care preferred; familiarity with EPIC EMR

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care
• Partner with physicians and providers to support timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR to promote continuity of care
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and effective communication
• Support a collaborative team environment and ongoing professional growth
