Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift in Charleston, WV. This 13-week contract involves 3x12-hour shifts weekly, with responsibilities across the nursing process and patient education.

You will supervise LPNs/CNAs, ensure safety, and participate in discharge planning. BLS and ACLS are required, with a minimum of two years bedside experience. ARMStaffing supports travel and placement logistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients/family and interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Provide timely patient information and status updates for care conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety per hospital policies.
• Contribute to unit functioning and team dynamics.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and training.
