Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time NICU nurse with Level 3 NICU experience to join our hospital-based care team. The role requires a current NJ RN license and the ability to assess, plan, and implement care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

You will administer therapies, educate families, and participate in performance improvement activities while maintaining high professional ethics and patient safety standards. Night shift, on-site, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have NJ RN License and current licensure.
• Level 3 NICU experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Effectively manages rapidly changing situations.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
