Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Nurse (RN) for the Mother/Baby unit to work nights at Lakeside Hospital. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care based on standards and policies.

The nurse delegates tasks, maintains safety, and communicates patient needs across the care team. Qualifications include a Louisiana nursing license, BLS-HCP, and unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS) required within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice professional nursing (Louisiana)
• American Heart Association BLS-HCP
• ACLS within 90 days (for relevant units)
• PALS within 90 days (where applicable)
• CPI within 90 days (where applicable)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 90 days (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care using nursing process.
• Organizes and delegates activities related to patient care management.
• Communicates patient condition, changes, and needs to the care team.
• Promotes infection control and participates in quality improvement activities.
