Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or diploma required; BSN in progress preferred.
• 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Current NJ RN license required by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive patient data.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Identify changes in clinical status promptly.
• Identify education needs for patient and family.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the care plan effectively.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward patient outcomes and adjust as needed.
• Adhere to protocols and document care accurately.
