Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical Urology/Genitourinary unit on a part-time night schedule. You will deliver nursing care using the Nursing Process, with 6:45 pm–7:15 am shifts, 24 hours per week, and rotating weekends.

The unit features a 24-bed inpatient MSU, a multidisciplinary team, self-scheduling, and a diverse patient population. Required: Nursing Diploma/ADN/BSN (BSN preferred), Texas RN license, BCLS and ACLS on hire, CPI within

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma or ADN; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN licensure or Texas compact licensure on hire.
  • BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • CPI training within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year RN experience or nursing residency completed.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
  • Assess the patient.
  • Plan the care of the patient.
  • Intervene as appropriate.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into patient care.
  • Initiates information needs of patient/family.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.
