Job summary

Western AZ Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a per diem night shift in the Med Surg unit. The RN provides patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborates with physicians and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, assisting with procedures, patient and family education, infection control, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (state or compact).
• BCLS required; ACLS preferred.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to plan and evaluate care.
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatment, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in emergencies (CPR/code team) as needed.
• Document care promptly in the medical record.
