Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY seeks a Registered Nurse for the 7 PM–7 AM night shift. You will manage, delegate and coordinate patient care using the nursing process with a focus on safety and effective communication with patients and the care team.

Responsibilities include applying evidence-based practice, documentation, and participation in performance improvement activities. 1 year Med/Surg experience and NYS licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred.
• National Certification in area of practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Systematically provides nursing care to patients within the framework of the nursing process.
• Integrates patient safety principles in direct nursing care and medication management.
• Adheres to established communication standards and processes.
• Participates in department and hospital-wide activities to improve processes and outcomes.
• Maintains and improves professional knowledge and skill related to the area of practice.
