Job summary

Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, ID is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg on the night shift. You will supervise and deliver patient care, coordinate with LPNs and CNAs, and document plans and medications per policy.

The ideal candidate holds Idaho RN licensure, CPR/BLS, ACLS (within 2 months), and is proficient with EMR systems. Six months of M/S experience preferred; 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Idaho professional RN license.
• Six (6) months medical/surgical patient care experience preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 2 months of hire; TNCC/PALS preferred
• Must key board at 30 wpm; proficient with computers (Outlook and EMR)

Responsibilities

• Assigns staff for patient care during shift.
• Receives and communicates shift reports to on-coming shift.
• Prioritizes presenting problems.
• Coordinates with physician on patient condition changes.
• Documents medication administration and patient responses.
• Monitors and documents vital signs and care plans.
• Acts as patient advocate and liaises with families and physicians.
• Ensures infection control and PPE guidelines.
• Completes charting and discharge planning as needed.
