Job summary

McLean Affiliates in Simsbury, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for a long-term care unit. The night shift 7pm–7am with every other weekend rotation offers a competitive pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will deliver nursing care using the nursing process, adhere to CT Nurse Practice Act, supervise ancillary staff, and ensure timely handoffs. Candidates must have LTC experience, a valid CT RN license, and a genuine commitment to compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
Current Connecticut State License in good standing as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of one-year experience in LTC, working with geriatric population.
RN with long term care experience required.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and nursing treatments as prescribed.
Organize resident care and prioritize daily activities within an eight-hour shift.
Document care and resident response to medications and nursing interventions.
Provide patient/family teaching and education; document understanding in medical records.
Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
