Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to provide exemplary nursing care in the Transitional Care Unit. You will lead the care team, apply the nursing process, and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes during night shifts.

The role requires a California RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of experience in Critical Care/SDU to support continuous patient care and adherence to policies and standards.

Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in a Critical Care, DOU or SDU setting, or successful completion of KP Critical Care, DOU or SDU course (as applicable) within prior 12 months.
• California RN license.
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Leads the health care team and delegates tasks, ensuring accountability.
• Develops and contributes to individualized plans of care reflecting assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating outcomes.
• Documents nursing process and interventions accurately in patient records.
• Discusses patient findings and progress with physicians and team members.
• Ensures patient safety and education, including medication administration and discharge planning.
