Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Clinical Nurse I for Labor and Delivery on the full-time night shift. You will provide compassionate care through antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.

You will collaborate with health care teams, monitor patients, educate families, maintain records, administer meds, and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• 1+ year of acute care RN experience required.
• NY licensed RN or willingness to obtain license.
• BLS certification required; EFM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patients during labor.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support patients and families throughout the process.
